SUMMER BOB'S ROAD

A great attraction for visitors to the Klíny Sports Complex is the unique bobsleigh track, where you can experience a great ride on the slope, over the bridge or through the forest and back to the start with a four-seater cable car!

ABOUT BOB'S ROAD ...

  • It is less than 900 metres long with an elevation gain of 130 metres.
  • It leads through a forest, over a ski slope and crosses a local road, which is crossed by a bridge 50 metres long at a height of 4 metres above the ground.
  • A cable car takes the riders back to the start, so they are in for a double experience.
  • The ride is in the fresh air in the beautiful countryside of the Ore Mountains with a view of the deep Šumenské valley.
  • The bobsleigh track is suitable for all ages.
  • Its design makes it extremely safe.

OPERATING RULES OF THE BOBSLEIGH TRACK

DRIVING SAFETY

  • Starting the bobsleigh and accelerating it: push the lever forwards.
  • Braking the bob: pull the lever towards you.
  • Only operate the brake lever manually.
  • Buckle up!
  • Maintain a minimum spacing of 40 metres. It is forbidden to stop on the track.
  • Do not touch the track – risk of injury.
  • At the top station, push the lever forward and accelerate.
  • Adjust the speed to your abilities.
  • At the bottom station on the exit ramp, quickly exit the runway. The cable car will take you up.
  • Children under 7 years of age may only use the track when accompanied by a person over 15 years of age.
  • Follow Operating rules of the bobsleigh track.

ABOUT OUR BOB’S DRESS:
  • The manufacturer was Brandauer GmbH, Rußbach, Austria.
  • It is the longest track of this manufacturer in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
  • It is the first and only bobsleigh in the Ústí nad Labem region.
  • It is one of the few bobsled tracks in Europe to use a chairlift to transport people and bobsleds back to the start.
  • The bobsleigh rides on a special self-supporting tube with a diameter of 150 mm.
  • The capacity of the bobsled is 130 kg.
  • The bob is equipped with a seat belt and 3 independent brakes that work even in the rain.
  • The track is almost 900 m long with an elevation of 130 m, the price includes a 600 m long four-seat cableway.
  • The start of the bobsled run is at the upper station of the Klíny cableway and the finish at the lower station.
  • The start interval of each bob is 60 seconds.
  • The bobsleigh track also crosses the local road, which is crossed by a bridge about 50 metres long at a height of 4 metres above the road.
  • Parts of the track that run on downhill tracks are dismantled before winter so that the bobsled does not interfere with skiers./li>
